2 Types of Korean pancakes(Yachae Jeon)

Korean pancake, also known as "jeon" is a savory pancake made with various ingredients such as vegetables, seafood, and meat. It is a popular snack or side dish in Korean cuisine and can be found in restaurants and street food vendors across all over South Korea.

The basic batter for Korean pancakes is made with flour, water or broth, eggs, and sometimes rice flour. The batter is then mixed with different ingredients, such as vegetables, scallions, kimchi, seafood, or meat, and pan-fried until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

As you all know I m a K-pop fan and so into k-drama so I love to try various kinda recipes which I can make within my boundaries and as a food blogger I have to try right! So here you can say I m exploring my food blogging journey

So today I m back with another Korean recipe and this time it's for some Yachae jeon or Korean vegetable pancakes.

What is yachae jeon?

Yache is a vegetable while jeon is a basic term called Korean pancakes.

There is so many types of pancakes you find in Korea Some popular variations of Korean pancakes include pajeon, which is made with scallions, haemal pajeon, which includes seafood, and kimchi jeon, which is made with kimchi, yachae jeon which is made with a vegetable.

Yachae jeon is literally translated to vegetable pancakes. These Korean yachae jeon vegetable pancakes can be easily customized to your liking taste.

I used cabbage, carrot, and paper but you can use any vegetable depending on your choice. So basically this recipe is the best coz you can make this recipe to your liking.

And I also made my own dipping sauce that I can enjoy with these pancakes.

In addition to being a delicious snack, Korean pancakes are also popular during special occasions such as holidays, weddings, and family gatherings.

To make yachaejeon, the vegetables are Thinly sliced and chopped or grated and mixed with a batter made of flour, water, broth, or eggs. The batter is then pan-fried until golden brown and crispy on the outside. Like other types of Korean pancakes, yachaejeon is often served with a dipping sauce made of soy sauce, vinegar, and sesame oil.
